Ideas need ordinary places as well as specialist facilities: a library desk, a room for a conversation, somewhere to record a story or a green space for a break. Parramatta’s civic resources offer practical starting points for students, founders, families and visitors.

PARRAMATTA SQUARE / A PUBLIC FRONT DOOR
Space for your next idea.
A quiet desk. A group conversation. A recorded story. Start with the library and public spaces, then explore bookable rooms when your project needs something more.
A public library, community and civic hub at 5 Parramatta Square, with spaces to learn, meet and explore.
The library occupies Levels 1 and 2. General visiting is free; check the official page for opening hours, accessibility and any event or room-booking conditions.
Stage 1 is operational, connecting Westmead and Carlingford through Parramatta CBD and Camellia.
The route spans 12 kilometres. Stage 2 is a separate project; consult official project and travel information rather than treating future extensions as operating services.
